Who is WorkCover counselling suitable for?

WorkCover counselling is available for individuals with an accepted ReturnToWorkSA claim who are experiencing work-related stress, injury or psychological impact.

How do I get started?

To get started, submit an enquiry using the link below. This allows us to confirm suitability and ensure the service is appropriate before scheduling an appointment.

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

After your enquiry is received, you will be provided with an intake form to complete. This includes your details, claim information and relevant background.

Once this information is received and your claim approval is confirmed, you will be offered an appointment.

Do I need claim approval before starting?

Yes. Appointments are offered once your WorkCover claim has been approved for counselling services.

What can I expect from counselling?

Sessions are focused on reducing distress, improving coping and supporting recovery. This includes addressing factors impacting your ability to function at work and supporting a safe and sustainable return to work.

Is EMDR available under WorkCover?

EMDR may be available where appropriate, particularly where there has been a traumatic workplace experience contributing to ongoing distress.

What is your cancellation policy?

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If sufficient notice is not provided, the full session fee may be charged.

What if I can’t attend during standard work hours?

Appointments are available from 8:00am on weekdays, as well as on Saturdays.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes. Sessions are confidential and your information is handled in accordance with professional and legal requirements. Some communication with your case manager or insurer may be required as part of the WorkCover process.

A 50-minute session for individuals aged 18 and over seeking support with work-related stress, injury or psychological impact, with a focus on recovery and return to work.

Sessions are delivered under the ReturnToWorkSA scheme and are billed in accordance with the approved fee schedule.
